So Far, So Good

It's only been a few hours, but Aidan seems to be adjusting well to life with his little sister. Here's Aidan, Rowan and Mommy reading a book and giving high-fives!

Coming Home

We came home from the hospital today, July 31 ... the day we were originally scheduled for the c-section! Rowan looks so tiny in the carseat!

Welcome Rowan!

Just like her brother ... Rowan decided to arrive ahead of schedule. My water broke at the office, so off to labor and delivery I went. Rowan Catherine was born Wednesday, July 28 at 6:46 p.m. She weighted 7 lbs., 12 oz. and measured 20 inches. She's a beauty!

Word Play

Aidan can say a bunch of words now--doggie, gate, door, book, car, hot, fan, thank you, daddy, mama, Zoe, that, mine, go away, more, berries, apple, buggie, birdie, no, bye, light ...
But do you think I can get him to play along on video. No! Here's an attempt at getting him to perform:

Some of his favorites are no, go away and mine. Ugh! He likes to tell the kitties to go away and shake his hand at them. Who knows where he picked that up? He also uses 'go away' to mean 'come here'. He'll come grab my hand and pull me while saying go away, go away, go away if he wants to show me something on the other side of the room.

Just Like Her Brother

Turns out, Rowan is breech too ... just like her brother. Here's a 36 week ultrasound photo of her. You'll have to use your imagination because she's pretty squished up in there now.

Aidan and Tyra

Here's Aidan and his bestfriend Tyra at daycare. Even though he's laughing and playing and acting crazy most of the time, when the camera comes out, he's very serious!
